These specialty classes are only offered twice a year, usually once in the spring and again in the fall. These are advanced level classes and require prior glass experience.
 
Lead Came Construction

Have you been wanting to learn the Lead Came method? Also known as the traditional method of professionals. This four-week class teaches the basics of lead came construction.  You will learn all you need to know to create your own leaded panels: pattern preparation and layout; choosing, cutting and soldering lead; and finishing a panel.

 

Your pattern must be pre-selected and approved prior to the class. Tools and materials are extra and are not included in the class fee.  You will receive a tools and materials list upon receipt of your class fee.  Prior glass experience is required

 

Class Fee: $65.00

Times: Morning class: 10:00am - 12:000pm

          Evening Class: 7:00pm - 9:00pm

 

 

Glass Fusing

Fusing is one of the hottest things in glassworking today. In this workshop we will be making a beautiful glass coaster set from the glass of your choice, and learn glass fusing in the process. It’s fun, it’s easy!

 

Students will learn about glass kilns and how to prepare the glass for fusing, how to follow and document a firing schedule and proper temperatures to use for various fusing effects.

 

Prior glass experience is required. Please bring to class your glass cutting and breaking tools.

 

Class Fee:   $65.00 plus the cost of your glass

Times:    Morning class: 10:00am – 12:00pm

             Evening  class: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
